Going to see Santa at the mall. She was too shy, so spent most of the time in her stroller, exatly where she wanted to be. I kept trying to take her out and wander around, but she just wasn't into it that day...maybe next time...

But she still looks awful cute!

Hella had her 18 month check up today. She had to get her finger pricked to check for iron and a TB test, and a shot. She was not a happy girl. This is on the car ride home, exhausted from all the screaming. She is 26 lbs, and 34 inches. The Dr. even commented on how tall she is! 95%

Monday

Here we have Hella showing off the dinosaur she found. She is very proud of the things she finds. She runs around all day holding different action figures and saying "Guy!" It's really very cute.

This is Hella having a difficult afternoon. She slept in her crib for less than an hour only to wake up and be inconsolable. She is still sick, and seems to get uncomfortable in her own skin. She finally fell asleep on me just in time for me to have to get right up and go get Boris from School. Luckily I was able to transfer her to a pillow on the couch.
I just hope she's better by tomorrow so we can all go trick-or-treating!

Sunday

This was first thing this morning while Rik was making breakfast. She has the most fun taking off and putting clothes on. As you can see, she woke up feeling a lot better. Her eyes looked a lot less swollen and pink!
This beauty was taken during breakfast. Do you think she likes waffles and strawberries?

After everyone was done eating Rik carved their pumpkins. Here is Hella posing by hers.

Well...

6:00am Here she is first thing this morning. As you can see...not doing so good. She woke up crying and covered in guck. Her eyes are swollen and red (thank you pink eye), and her nose was a runny mess. Have you seen a sadder sight?8:00am Here she is a bit later, right before we think it's a good idea to get the kids out for a bit, and get some fresh air. We made the trek to the drug store for her perscription, and then got yummy bagels for breakfast. Believe it or not, she's really very happy!
1:30pm Here's our girl right after her nap. As you can see, we are back to the not feeling good stage of the day. This is pretty much how she remained throughout the afternoon. Sometimes she would get a bit of energy and wander away for a spell, but it never lasted long. My poor baby...
Say it with me folks, "Tomorrow is another day, and it's gonna be a whole lot better!"

A Post A Day...?

Well, here goes nothing. I'm going to try my hardest to put up a post a day, but I'm not making any promises.

Hella is sick.
She has pink eye and a cough and runny nose and the flu. There are fluids pouring out of everywhere and every time I look at her I want to cry. She doesn't seem to notice really, except that I'm constantly chasing her down to wipe her nose and/or eyes. She's laughing and jumping and even helping me out. Every now and then she runs up to me and reaches for me and says "UP!" So, I pick her up and she collapses on my shoulder right before pointing at something and giving me direction! This girl's a trooper.
That's why I want to cry.
Don't worry...it's empty!

Father's Day

Hella had a blast playing in the sand. Unfortunately all the good footage is on our video camera and we still don't have a cord to upload it onto the computer.
She never waited for an adult. She just ran right into the ocean, and we had to catch up to her.

It's Mother's Day...

Instead of going out to breakfast, we went and got donuts and coffee and went to the park to feed the ducks.

We couldn't find any, so Hella claimed the bread for herself, and wouldn't let go!
